My Version of The Station.

If you've ever read my blog, then you know I like to keep it short and sweet. I prefer to tell my stories with pictures. That won't work on a restaurant review blog, so I'll give it my best shot.

I couldn't even begin to tell you how fast or slow the food came. I was too busy talking and dealing with kids. I never felt anxious though sitting there, so we must have gotten some pretty speedy service.

I ordered the Fried Cheese Grits appetizer. It comes with Salsa on the side. You get three large wedges, that I cut in half so that each adult at the table could have one reasonable sized wedge. I thought they were delicious.

For my meal I ordered the Crepes. I can't remember the exact name of them. They have chicken and mushrooms in them and are covered in a cheese sauce. They are really good also. I felt like they were missing something though. Maybe some garlic? It is a rare occasion that I add salt and/or pepper to any restaurant meal. So maybe a little salt and pepper would have made the difference.

I also had the basic side salad. I also ordered the Avocado Ranch. I didn't like it at all with that particular salad. I don't generally have ranch dressing on a salad and I usually only have avocado ranch for dipping fried foods. I requested Italian after trying the Avocado Ranch and it was much better.

My 5 year old daughter is on a Mozzarella Cheese Stick kick, so she ordered the appetizer for her meal. She wasn't impressed with them. They were wrapped in Wonton wrappers. I tried some and thought they were really good. I took them to go along with my left over Crepe. I warmed them all up the next day and had a second meal that was still tasty.

It wasn't my first time dining at The Station and it certainly won't be my last. The food is good, the atmosphere is decent, and the service is great.

A+
